Vincennes University basketball fans celebrated the teams National Championship last night a Buffalo Wild Wings in Vincennes.

A VU jersey encased along with photo of the national championship team was hung in the restaurants entrance.

Head Coach Todd Franklin says it was a great honor and is looking forward to the upcoming season. Although VU lost some veteran players, Franklin thinks he has the nucleus for another good team.

After the ceremony, fans and coaches watched a video of the  National Championship game as the Trailblazers defeated Ranger, Texas, 87-77, in Hutchinson, Kansas for their fourth title in school history and the first since 1972.

Ten percent of the proceeds from Wednesday’s event went towards the VU Basketball program.
