Martin County has been awarded over 3-million dollars in federal transportation funding for a bridge replacement project.

The funding will be used to replace a bridge on Brickyard Road over Boggs Creek.

The announcement was part of a statewide distribution of federal funds 52 cities, towns and counties by the Indiana Department of Transportation.

The money will be used for road and bridge improvements and sidewalk replacement projects.

INDOT announced that Gibson County will receive 1.2 million dollars to replace a bridge on Moores Road.
