Local K-12 schools are announcing plans to delay the return to a normal school schedule.

Vincennes Catholic schools have been on spring break this week, but won’t return to the classroom until April 6th. Parents should have an email explaining the plans for extended learning days and when they can pick up their child’s books and supplies needed.

Vincennes Community students begin their spring break this week. The weeks of March 23rd & 30th the students will have e-learning opportunities, with classes set to resume April 6th. Plans for food service during the two extra weeks is being worked on by school officials.

South Knox and North Knox School systems are following this schedule as well and won’t have in-class instruction until April 6th

These announcements come as the state has allowed for waivers of up to 20 days of the required 180 days of instruction amid the coronavirus pandemic.
