Indiana State Police arrested a Terre Haute Woman after she allegedly stole an ambulance from a Terre Haute Hospital.
Police in Sullivan County spotted the Trans Care ambulance on U.S. 41 South and attempted to stop it.
The pursuit continued into Knox County where troopers deployed stop sticks near Oaktown.
The 25-year-old female lost control of the ambulance and left the roadways coming to rest in a field near the Melon Patch.
The female had a self-inflicted knife wound to her arm. A trooper applied a tourniquet to stop the bleeding.
The woman was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Terre Haute Police are investigating the theft of the ambulance. Criminal charges are pending.
