First City News is learning more about potential plans for one former landmark.

Harrison Hall on Vincennes University’s campus was one of the first dormitory’s for the school.

It’s named after VU’s founder William Henry Harrison.

Harrison was also the first governor of the Indiana territory and ninth president of the U.S.

Harrison Hall was severely damaged after spring storms last year.

First City News spoke with Vice President of Financial Services Linda Waldroup.

She says officials decided to tear down the building because of the cost of repairing it.

Officials are now deciding what to do with the space where Harrison Hall once stood.

One of the ideas on the table is a multi million dollar nursing facility for the health sciences department.
