More snow is melting today with sunny skies and a high temp of 55.

The National Weather Service predicts the melting snow won’t cause significant flooding along the Wabash in Vincennes.

The river at the Memorial Bridge was observed at just over 4.2 feet this morning and it will rise to just over 9 feet by early in the weekend.  Flood Stage is 16 feet.  At Mt. Carmel it will get to 13.6 feet by Sunday which is six feet below flood stage.

The Embarras River at Lawrenceville will rise to about 3 feet below flood stage.  It was measured at 20.45 feet this morning and will go up another 7 feet by Friday.  Flood stage on the Embarras is 30 feet.

The White at Edwardsport will get close to flood stage.  It was at 6.2 this morning and will rise to almost 14 feet by Sunday morning.  Flood stage there is 15 feet.

In Petersburg, water will rise to 14. 3 feet by Monday next week.  That is over 2.5 feet below flood stage.
