This weekend, kids have a chance to get some free school supplies and some last-minute summer fun before school starts next week.

The second annual Party at the Pavilion is this Saturday from noon till 7 pm.

Emily Yetka and Vincennes Best started this event with help from all over the community.

Since it was the beginning of the pandemic, Yetka thought that the kids could use something to be excited about.

It started with just free haircuts and evolved into backpacks with school supplies, personal hygiene products, and community resources.

So Party at the Pavilion was born, but they still need help from the community.

Emily says any help will be appreciated and they are mainly looking for scissors, bath towels, or monetary donations.

Party at the Pavilion is this Saturday from 12 pm to 7 pm at the riverfront Pavilion in Vincennes.
