It’s going to be dangerously hot across the southern tip of Indiana today.

The National Weather Service is leaving a heat advisory in place for several southern Indiana counties from 2PM to 8 p.m. in the First City News listening area.

Forecasters say temperatures will top-out in the 90s, but the heat index could hit over 105 degrees maybe even to 110 degrees.

Parts of southern Illinois and most of Kentucky are also covered by the same heat advisory.
