Vincennes University’s men’s basketball team continues to struggle as they lose their third consecutive game.

The Trailblazers fell behind earlier, and despite putting on several scoring rallies, they came up short to the Danville Area Jaguars 55-45.

According to the longtime play-by-play announcer Dave Hunter, this is the first time VU has lost three games in a row at home since the 1924-25 season.

Danville’s defense held the Trailblazers to their lowest point total of the season at 45, but it’s the third time they’ve scored less than 50.

The Jaguars jumped out to a 25-8 lead in the first half.

VU stormed back to take the lead 41-40 with a little over 8 minutes left in the game.

Danville then went on a 9 point run to put the Trailblazers out of the game.

Thow James Biel led the team in points with 15 while Brevin Jefferson added 11.

VU falls to 2-5 on the season.

They take the home court again this Saturday when they host Parkland at 7 pm.
