The Vincennes Lincolns Girls Basketball team ended Gibson Southern’s four-game win streak last night, winning 55-51.
It was a tight contest after the first quarter with the Alices in the lead, 15-10.
Lincoln then took their biggest lead of the night, 22-14, before Gibson Southern scored seven points in a row to come within one.
The Alices were able to pull away again, going into halftime with a 33-26 advantage.
Gibson Southern was able to claw back to take the lead 51-49 with 5 minutes remaining, off a 6 point scoring run.
Lincoln then turned up the defense, not allowing the Titans to score a single point the rest of the game.
Dani Kroeger led the Alices in points with 24 and Chole Cardinal added 16.
Lincoln improves to 3-5 and takes the court again this Saturday at Evansville Bosse with tipoff at noon.
