Vincennes University golf competed in the Region 24 Tournament and one player qualified for nationals.

VU sophomore Bryce Kirchner put on a good performance to boost him into the NJCAA National Championships for the second year in a row.

The First 36 holes of the 54-hole tournament kicked off on Monday and the trailblazers would come out struggling as Kirchner led VU with 81 in the opening round.

Freshman Paxton Schwomeyer paced the trailblazers in the second round with a 77 taking 10 shots off of his first-round score.

VU placed 6th with a score of 975, with Heartland College taking the win with a score of 890.

Kirchner will compete in the NJCAA Division II National Championships scheduled May 17-May 20 at Twin Hills Country Club in Joplin, Missouri.
