A suspect was injured and a state police car damaged after a Friday car chase south of Vincennes.

Charges are pending against the unnamed 36-year-old old Washington man who was hospitalized after allegedly crashing into the police vehicle ending the chase that started around 6-pm near Orville Road.

Master Trooper Goodman was outside his vehicle getting ready to deploy stop sticks when the stolen car hit his cruiser.

The suspect was said to have suffered severe injuries.

Master Trooper Goodman was not injured.
