It’s Child Passenger Safety Week and the Vincennes Police Department wants you to keep your little ones safe.

They say to be sure and find the right seat taking in a child’s age, weight and height into consideration.

Be sure the seat is installed in your vehicle properly and beware of car seat hazards.

A child or toddler can resist the seat and the wiggling and pushing seatbelts away can distract a driver.

Police also say be a good example and buckle yourself up as children will copy adult behavior.
