The Indiana Breast Cancer Awareness Trust recently awarded Good Samaritan’s Breast Care Center a grant of $7,238.

Since 2002, the Breast Cancer Awareness license plate program has raised over $7 million for breast cancer screening, diagnostic, and support services across Indiana.

GSH Mammography Manager Crystal Beadles says the funds will cover mammograms, ultrasounds, MRIs, and biopsies for uninsured and under-insured patients.

The license plate program was founded by the late Nancy Jaynes, a Plymouth High School teacher who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2008.

Indiana residents can support the cause by purchasing the specialty plate through the BMV.
