An Evansville bail bondsman is facing a lengthy list of felony charges following an extensive investigation by the Evansville Police Department.

A news release from the EPD says 42-year-old Timothy C. Moyes was taken into custody after detectives looked into an incident on July 2, 2025, at the west side Walmart in Evansville. Officers were called after reports that two bondsmen were attempting to take a woman into custody. Police say the woman told them she was afraid of Moyes and accused him of harassment. She was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries.

According to investigators, Moyes first made contact with the victim after a previous arrest. Detectives say he later bonded her out of jail and brought her to his home, where the two engaged in sexual activity. The victim later distanced herself from Moyes, but investigators say Moyes tracked her movements by placing tracking devices on her vehicle. Detectives say he also used a second phone to impersonate a fictional supervisor named “Jeremy” in an effort to convince her to continue contact.

During the investigation, detectives located a hidden camera inside Moyes’ residence that allegedly recorded sexual encounters without the knowledge of multiple women. Police say video evidence also showed Moyes assisting one woman in taking narcotics, after which nude photos were taken without her consent.

Investigators also reviewed body camera footage showing Moyes entering several residences without legal authority. In one case, police say Moyes entered a home to search for a person with a warrant, made comments about money possibly being inside, and later took that individual to his home instead of jail. In another incident, police say Moyes and another man forced open the door of a home where no one was present.

Moyes is charged with Attempted Rape, Kidnapping, Criminal Confinement, Promotion of Human Sexual Trafficking, Burglary, Stalking, Sexual Battery, Failure of Bail Agent to Collect Full Premium, Voyeurism, Residential Entry, Impersonation of a Public Servant, and Battery Resulting in Bodily Injury. Several charges include multiple counts.

Investigators say more victims have been identified and some have yet to be located. Anyone who believes they may be connected to this case is asked to contact the Domestic/Sexual Violence Unit at 812-436-7949.
