Knox County authorities are investigating a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian.

The incident happened around 7 a.m. Friday morning on Old Decker Road near Hacker Plumbing. Deputies say 47-year-old Gregory Fuller was walking along the roadway when he was struck by an older-model gray Toyota 4Runner that left the scene.

The victim was taken to the hospital with facial injuries. His condition is unknown.

Deputies are reminding residents that Indiana law requires pedestrians to use sidewalks when available. In areas without sidewalks, pedestrians must walk on the left side of the road, facing oncoming traffic.
