The Pantheon Theatre in Vincennes has been selected for a statewide placemaking initiative led by Indiana University.
As one of 17 rural Indiana partners, The Pantheon will work with IU’s Rural Placemaking Studio to design a mural and outdoor seating area that honors the city’s entrepreneurial history.
A local committee will help guide the project, with IU staff and students offering design, technical support, and public input sessions.
Pantheon CEO Nichole Like said the goal is to celebrate local heritage while enhancing the theatre’s role as a community and innovation hub.
The studio focuses on helping small towns create inclusive, vibrant public spaces.
