Minor flooding persists along the White River from Elliston southward, with conditions expected to last into the weekend.

The river has crested between Edwardsport and Hazleton, where water levels are gradually starting to fall.

At Edwardsport, the river stood at 18.1 feet Wednesday evening,  Flood stage is 15 feet.

The White River is expected to crest at 18.3 feet overnight at Edwardsport  before beginning a slow decline, dropping below flood stage by Saturday morning.

Flooding ended earlier Wednesday on the East Fork White River.
