A Dubois County farm is representing Indiana at the Great American Farmers Market on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
Fischer Farms is one of 50 vendors selected from across the country for the USDA-hosted event, which celebrates National Farmers Market Week and America’s 250th birthday.
Visitors can meet Dave and Diana Fischer, learn about their farm’s history, and place orders for home delivery of their premium meats.
Dave Fischer told the Southern Indiana Business Report it’s an honor to showcase their commitment to sustainable, high-quality beef and connect with people from around the nation.
Fischer Farms spans 750 acres and is part of a five-year USDA study on climate-smart beef. Earlier this year, it became the first U.S. beef cattle farm to earn the Certified Responsible Antibiotic Use certification.
