Indiana Conservation Officers are searching for a missing man at Monroe Lake.

Authorities say 27-year-old Keynner Lugo was attempting to swim to shore from a boat Sunday when he began to struggle and went underwater.

Officers were dispatched at 1:10 p.m. to the Allen’s Creek area. The search began immediately, using side-scan and remotely operated sonar along with divers. Other boaters tried to help Lugo, but were unsuccessful.

Search efforts were suspended Sunday evening due to darkness and resumed Monday morning.
