A Vincennes woman is facing attempted murder charges in connection to a stabbing last fall.

Police say they were called to the 1600 block of North 11th Street on October 19th, 2024, and later determined the stabbing happened during an argument at a home on Washington Avenue. Officers say the suspect fled before they arrived.

An arrest warrant was issued for 23-year-old Anitra Miller in November. She was arrested in Lake County this week and transported back to Knox County, where she is being held on seventy-five thousand dollars cash bond.

Miller appeared in Knox Circuit Court Wednesday for an initial hearing. A public defender was appointed, and a no contact order was issued. A jury trial is scheduled for December 2nd.
