Daviess Community Hospital has released its 2025 Community Health Needs Assessment.
The report is based on 247 surveys and interviews with residents across the county. The top concerns include illegal drug use, suicide, a lack of transportation options on nights and weekends, homelessness, and the rising cost of healthy food.
Community members also identified priorities for the future — more good-paying jobs, affordable housing, better youth mental health services, and stronger prevention programs to address substance use.
Hospital leaders say they’re now working with local partners to turn those needs into measurable goals, with plans to publish progress updates along the way.
The report is available online where residents can also share ideas to support the effort.
