The Indiana Department of Homeland Security is investigating a house fire that officials say was intentionally set.

Around 1:20 a.m. on August 24, the Washington Fire Department responded to a blaze at a home in the 100 block of Mill Street. Crews were able to extinguish the flames, but investigators later determined the fire had been deliberately started.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Indiana Arson Hotline at 1-800-382-4628. A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to the conviction of those responsible.
