A tractor driver tried to make a getaway in Petersburg Thursday night.
State Police say Trooper Sturm pulled over 40-year-old Joshua Brames just after 9:30 on 4th Street. Brames was driving a John Deere tractor pulling a yard trailer with no taillights and was said to have just run a stop sign at State Road 57.
Troopers say Brames showed signs of impairment and refused sobriety tests. He then jumped off the tractor and ran, but was quickly caught. Brames refused a chemical test and was arrested for operating while intoxicated and resisting law enforcement.
He was first cleared by doctors at Daviess Community Hospital, then booked into the Pike County Jail.
