A Knox County jury will hear the case of the man accused in the murder of Taylor Hendershot in Vincennes.

That’s after the  request to move the murder trial of Dylan Smith out of Knox County was denied late last week.

In an order signed by Knox Circuit Court Monica Gilmore, the court ruled the defense motion was untimely.

The judge said the defense’s filing didn’t clearly explain when or how they first discovered the reasons for requesting a new trial location, what those reasons were, or why those issues couldn’t have been found earlier if they had been more diligent

The case now continues on its current schedule with a trial date currently set for November 4th.
