A Knox County man was arrested late Monday night after deputies say he was driving impaired and in possession of methamphetamine near Bruceville.
Knox County Sheriff’s Department officials report that just after 10 p.m., a deputy stopped a gray Ford F-150 on State Road 67 after seeing it weaving in and out of the lane. The driver, 57-year-old Bertis Robb Jr. of Bruceville, allegedly showed signs of intoxication and failed field sobriety tests. Robb admitted to smoking methamphetamine the night before.
A K-9 search turned up several plastic baggies containing a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine, along with items used to manufacture the drug.
Robb was taken to the hospital for clearance and then booked into the Knox County Jail. He faces charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
He was jailed on a $15,000 bond.
