Leaders of the Pantheon in downtown Vincennes — a business incubator and co-working space — have expressed their disappointment in the suspension of the AgroRenew project in Knox County.
The Pantheon says the bioplastics concept that became AgroRenew first emerged from conversations within the region’s ag-tech entrepreneurial network and showed strong early promise before developing into an independent venture.
In a statement, the organization noted that entrepreneurship always involves risk and that each attempt — whether successful or not — helps strengthen Knox County’s innovation ecosystem.
The Pantheon clarified that while it provided early-stage support through connections and resources, it did not invest in AgroRenew, which made its own business decisions and partnerships beyond the center.
Officials say The Pantheon remains focused on helping southwest Indiana entrepreneurs with workspace, mentorship, and connections that promote innovation and job creation, reaffirming their ongoing commitment to local economic growth despite the project’s setback.
