Vincennes University will host its annual Veterans Day ceremony at the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, November 11 at 11 a.m.
The program will include music, guest speakers, and a special presentation from Red Skelton’s widow, Lothian Skelton. Major General Rick Stevens, a Vincennes native, will serve as the keynote speaker.
Museum Director Anne Pratt said the event is open to everyone and designed to recognize local veterans.
“And we have a great program planned. And a lot of people don’t realize that it’s open to the public. And we really want to get as many people involved in the Veterans Day program as we can,” Pratt said.
Following the ceremony, all veterans in attendance are invited to a free lunch at the Harmony Society, sponsored in partnership with the university and the Red Skelton Museum.
