The streets of Vincennes will soon be filled with laughter, costumes, and cackles as the fifth annual Witches on Bikes event returns on October 25.

Participants will gather at the open shelter house in Greg Park for registration starting at 1 p.m., followed by the group ride through town at 2 p.m. The event welcomes riders of all ages and abilities, including those using golf carts, and encourages dressing up in Halloween attire.

Organizer Regina Blinn says the ride not only brings the community together but also raises funds for local health support. “October’s obviously Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and men and women both get breast cancer,” Blinn said. “So that’s a good cause, and it works out fine with it being in October. So some of the proceeds go toward the Good Samaritan Hospital Breast Care Center to help people that might need a few funds for different, a variety of things.”

After the ride, the witches will return to Greg Park for refreshments, door prizes, and a Halloween dance.

Registration is available online at getmeregistered.com  by searching “Vincennes Witches,” or in person at Vincennes City Hall, Park and Recreation Department.
