Southern Indiana leaders are gearing up for a major discussion on the future of defense in the region.

The Southern Indiana Business Report will host its first annual State of the Region event on Tuesday, December 9, at WestGate Academy in Odon. This year’s focus is on the defense sector — a critical driver of growth in south central Indiana.

With millions of dollars in new investment heading to NSA Crane, communities and businesses surrounding the installation are preparing for the opportunities that expansion will bring.

The event will feature two panels with leaders from defense, government, and business — highlighting ongoing projects at NSA Crane and WestGate@Crane and what they mean for the region’s economic future.
