The Indiana Department of Transportation says southbound U.S. 41 in Gibson County will close overnight near Fort Branch beginning Tuesday, October 28.
Crews will replace a damaged pipe between County Road 550 South and County Road 600 South. The closure will take place nightly from 5 p.m. to 4 a.m., with the highway reopening during daytime hours.
The project is expected to last about four days, weather permitting.
An official detour will follow State Road 64 to I-69 to State Road 168. Local traffic will be permitted up to the work zone.
INDOT urges drivers to slow down, stay alert, and use caution when traveling near construction areas.
