Vincennes residents will soon have two chances to get rid of large unwanted items at no cost.Mayor Joe Yochum has announced “City-Wide Large Item Disposal Days” for Saturday, November 1st, and Saturday, November 8th.

From 8 to 11:30 a.m. each Saturday, residents can take bulky items to Republic Services at 2706 North Second Street for free disposal. Accepted items include household furniture, mattresses, large toys, and appliances that don’t contain refrigerants.

Items not accepted include construction debris, tires, paint, liquid waste, electronics, and anything containing Freon or hazardous materials.
