
The Knox County Sheriff’s Department responded to 1,200 calls for service during the month of October, according to the agency’s monthly report.
Among the most frequent call types, deputies conducted 499 traffic stops and responded to 59 vehicle crashes. The department also recorded 39 citizen assists.
Deputies made 76 arrests throughout the month.
The report also notes that 281 subpoenas were served during October.
As of November 5, the Knox County Jail housed 282 inmates — 47 females and 235 males.
