Deputies in Sullivan County are investigating a serious crash at the intersection of U.S. 41 and West Washington Street.

It happened yesterday evening when a westbound vehicle on West Washington Street failed to stop at a stop sign while approaching U.S. 41.

Investigators say that vehicle entered the path of a northbound vehicle and was struck.

Everyone involved was taken to Sullivan County Hospital. Some of the injured were later flown by helicopter to Indianapolis for additional treatment.

The crash remains under investigation. Authorities say names will be released once that investigation is complete.
