A Pike County man has been found guilty for crimes involving children following a bench trial.
Joshua Eager was found guilty Wednesday by special judge Greg Smith of Daviess County on three counts: child molesting, sexual battery, and neglect of a dependent.
Pike County Prosecutor Darrin McDonald says the case began in September of last year after a minor reported the allegations to a school staff member. That report was forwarded to authorities and led to a criminal investigation.
The investigation was handled by the Pike County Sheriff’s Department with assistance from child advocacy and child services agencies.
McDonald expressed thanks to the minor victim for their bravery in assisting in the investigation and testifying in open court.
