The Indiana County Commissioners Association has named Knox County Commissioner Kellie Streeter as its 2025 Distinguished County Commissioner of the Year.

The award was presented during the group’s annual conference earlier this month in Indianapolis.

According to the Indiana County Commissioners Association, Streeter was recognized for her work as a county commissioner since 2016 and for her leadership at the state level, including her service on the association’s board of directors.

Streeter also served as the association’s board president in 2024.

The Distinguished County Commissioner of the Year award honors county leaders whose work supports effective local government and statewide cooperation among counties.
