A manufacturing company in Washington is under new ownership.

According to a recent article in Inside Indiana Business, NASCO Industries has been acquired by Ohio-based National Safety Apparel. Financial details of the deal were not released.

NASCO produces flame-resistant rainwear and protective outerwear used by workers in industries such as utilities, construction, transportation, and oil and gas. The company is based in Washington and employs about 90 people.

National Safety Apparel says NASCO will continue operating under its current brand name, with its products added to the company’s broader lineup. The acquisition brings NSA’s total workforce to around 1,400 employees.

The company says this is its third acquisition this year and its eighteenth overall. NSA also owns Tri-Star Glove, which is based in Plainville.
