Indiana tourism topped pre-pandemic levels in 2024, setting a new record for visitor activity across the state.
Governor Braun Announces Record…
A report released Monday by Governor Mike Braun shows 83 million people visited Indiana last year. That’s nearly a two-percent increase from 2023.
Visitors spent about 16-point-9 billion dollars statewide, a jump of almost five percent. Tourism supported more than 210-thousand full- and part-time jobs and generated 3-point-2 billion dollars in tax revenue for federal, state, and local governments.
The report also notes growth in business travel and international visitors, with more money staying in local communities.
State officials say tourism continues to be a major driver of Indiana’s economy.
