A police detective charged with drunk driving is scheduled to appear for an initial hearing next week.

Indiana State Police arrested Linton Police Detective Logan Hobbs following an off-duty incident on December 31st.

According to authorities, Linton Police were contacted after a citizen reported an off-duty officer in a marked police vehicle at a Taco Bell drive-thru who appeared to be impaired.

Linton’s police chief responded to the call and requested an outside agency investigate the situation.

Indiana State Police took over the case and arrested Hobbs on a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Hobbs has been placed on administrative leave from the Linton Police Department.

His initial hearing is scheduled for January 12th at 1 p.m. in Greene Superior Court.
