
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office handled more than ten-thousand calls for service in 2025.
In the year end report, sheriff’s officials report deputies responded to 10,670 calls between January 1 and December 31.
The most common calls involved traffic stops, totaling nearly 2,900, followed by vehicle crashes number 687. That was followed by animal complaints, and disabled or abandoned vehicles. Deputies also responded hundreds of times to citizen assists, welfare checks, burglar alarms, and attempts to locate reckless drivers.
Calls for domestic violence numbered 184 and there were 179 suspicious person calls.
Deputies made 924 arrests in 2025.
Court-related duties remained busy as well, with deputies serving more than 3,100 subpoenas and 166 protective orders over the course of the year.
The department recognized Deputy Tyler Kitchell who served the most subpoenas in 2025 at 782 out of those 3,100.
