Vincennes Police have released some details on an attempted murder arrest following a weekend shooting.
Police say officers were called just after midnight Sunday to a 911 hang-up at a home on East Scott Street. Dispatchers reported a male caller was difficult to understand but said he needed police.
Officers were unable to make contact at the residence but spoke with a neighbor who reported the man living there had called multiple times saying he had been shot. Police then entered the home and found a man upstairs with several apparent gunshot wounds.
The suspect, 40-year-old Junior S. Theodore, was later located at Good Samaritan Hospital, where he was medically cleared. Police say Theodore was then transported to the Vincennes Police Department for an interview and was eventually arrested.
Theodore was booked into the Knox County Jail on a charge of attempted murder.
