TRAVEL & EMERGENCY STATUS

  • Knox County remains under a Red Travel Warning until further notice

  • Travel is restricted to emergency personnel only

  • Conditions are dangerous and pose a significant threat to public safety

  • All non-essential travel should be avoided

  • Residents should treat conditions as a serious emergency


CITY & COUNTY GOVERNMENT – VINCENNES

  • No trash pickup this week to allow crews to focus on snow removal

  • Regular trash service resumes February 2


VONCENNES SNOW REMOVAL OPERATIONS

  • Designated snow routes are prioritized first

  • Hills, overpasses, and bridges are top priority

  • Secondary roads will be cleared once snow routes are passable

  • Residents are urged to limit travel to allow crews to work efficiently


COORDINATION & EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

  • Mayor Yochum is coordinating response efforts with:

    • Knox County Emergency Management Agency

    • Director John Streeter

    • All city departments

  • Billing and new service inquiries should be delayed until the Utility Office reopens

  • Trash pickup delayed until Thursday and Friday of this week


KNOX COUNTY GOVERNMENT

*The Knox Courthouse and all non-essential county governmental services are  closed Tuesday 1/27.

The Knox County Circuit Court will be closed to the public, with all previously scheduled court proceedings to be conducted virtually.  All other courts will be closed.  Parties are advised to contact their attorneys regarding the status of their hearings.

HEALTHCARE SERVICES

  • Good Samaritan Hospital

    • Normal operations resume Tuesday, January 27

    • All services reopen at normal times

    • Appointments proceed as scheduled

    • Patients with canceled Monday appointments will be contacted

  • All Family Health Center

    • All offices reopen Tuesday, January 27

    • Regular services and appointments resume

The YMCA of Vincennes will operate on reduced hours Tuesday, January 27.
Please note the following changes:

❌ All classes are canceled
❌ No Child Watch
❌ No Snow Day / All-Day Care

MANUFACTURING OPERATIONS

All MasterBrand Dubois County facilities will operate on a 2-hour delay for 1st shift on Tuesday, January 27th. Please call the Weather hotline to monitor for any additional updates
