Authorities have not released the name of the person killed Friday in a Sullivan County crash.

Emergency dispatchers received reports around 10 a.m. of a single-vehicle crash on State Road 54, just east of Dugger. Deputies and Union Fire Department crews were sent to the scene.

Investigators say the vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree. First responders attempted life-saving measures, but the driver died from injuries suffered in the crash.

No other vehicles were involved.
