
The Indiana Department of Transportation is asking for public input on an updated plan that outlines how the agency involves residents in transportation decisions.
INDOT has released a revised Planning Public Involvement Plan known as the PPIP. The document explains how the agency gathers public feedback on transportation planning,
.The plan was last updated in 2023 and is being revised to reflect changes in state and federal requirements, as well as updates to how INDOT communicates with the public.
Public comments are expected to focus on how and when people are notified about projects, access to meetings and online information, opportunities to give feedback, and how INDOT responds to public input.
The 30-day comment period runs from February 11 through March 13. Comments can be submitted online, by email, or by mail to INDOT’s planning office in Indianapolis
