The Farmers Market of Historic Vincennes is considering a one-day pop-up flea market in April to coincide with the Historical Half Marathon sponsored in part by WVUB.

Organizers say vendors are being invited to set up on Saturday, April 18, even though the regular market season will not begin until Memorial Day weekend. The special event would allow sellers to be open for business during the race and support activities connected to it.

Because produce will not yet be ready for sale, the market is looking at offering flea market-style items for that day. In addition to regular vendors, the invitation is being extended to other area sellers who have goods suitable for a flea market. Organizers say the event would provide an opportunity for people outside the usual vendor group to participate.
