Several community events are happening this weekend include activities for families and a local history program.
Tonight (Friday) a Video and Board Game night is happening at 1010 Washington Avenue where donations of hygiene items will be collected for First City Sunrise, a non profit that provides temporary housing for those who are un-housed in the community. That is from 6 to 9.
Wiggle Worms Corporation is hosting a drive-in movie fundraiser Saturday morning at the Blue Jeans Center. The event begins at 9:30 with an activity where children can create cardboard box cars. A showing of the animated film Transformers One is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon. Organizers say funds raised will support the mission of Wiggle Worms Corporation. Wiggle Worms Corp is a community-based children’s play center offering family fundraisers and enrichment events. 100% of proceeds support our nonprofit mission to strengthen families and build an indoor play center in Vincennes Indiana.
Also Saturday afternoon, Vincennes State Historic Sites will host a walking tour titled Women’s History in Vincennes. The program runs from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in downtown Vincennes. According to organizers, the tour will highlight stories of influential women connected to the city and Indiana history.
