The deadline to register to vote in Indiana’s primary election is approaching.
Secretary of State Diego Morales says Hoosiers have until Monday, April 6th to register ahead of the May 5th primary.
Residents can check their registration status, update their information, or register online at IndianaVoters.com until 11:59 p.m. that day. In-person registration is also available at county election offices through the close of business on April 6th.
Morales says eligible voters should not wait until the last minute and encourages anyone not yet registered to complete the process before the deadline.
To be eligible, individuals must be U.S. citizens, at least 18 years old on or before Election Day, and have lived in their precinct for at least 30 days prior to the election.
More information is available through the state’s voter website or local election offices.
