The McGrady-Brockman House in Vincennes is opening its doors this weekend for a public history event.
The open house is set for Saturday from 8:30 in the morning until 5:30 in the afternoon at the home on North Seventh Street.
Organizers say the day will include scheduled presentations on Women of Knox County, Black history, and gunsmithing at different times throughout the day.
Visitors can also take part in activities offered all day, including guided tours, genealogy assistance, and photo scanning.
Event organizers say guests can bring up to ten photos to be scanned and saved to a USB drive they provide. The original photos will be returned after scanning.
They add that some historically significant images may be requested for use in the home’s collection with permission from the owner.
Refreshments will also be available during the event.
