A Loogootee man has been arrested on a felony charge following an investigation by the Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Unit.
Trevor Moffatt, 32, was taken into custody Tuesday, March 31, after officers executed a residential search warrant with assistance from the Loogootee Police Department.
The investigation began in February 2026 after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children issued a cyber tip alleging that a user had uploaded child sex abuse material through a social media or cloud-based platform.
Detectives obtained legal authorization, confirmed the allegations, and identified a suspect in Loogootee. Electronic devices were seized during the search, and Moffatt was arrested following an interview.
He is charged with one count of possession of child sex abuse material involving bestiality, a Level 5 felony.
Authorities say forensic examinations of the seized devices are ongoing, and additional charges are pending.
