Vincennes will hold its annual citywide cleanup next month.

The event is scheduled for May 2 from 9 a.m. to noon. Participants can sign up as teams and help clean streets around the city.

Mike Thomas with Burkhart Insurance says nonprofit groups can also receive funding through their efforts.

“So you go online to burkhartinsurance.com and you can register a team, a nonprofit team, and you get $10 per bag, up to $250 for your nonprofit by cleaning up streets in, in Vincennes.”

The cleanup has been held for more than two decades and has grown in participation over time with Burkhart Insurance sponsoring the event each year.

Registration is open through May 1, with signups available online or at the Burkhart Insurance office.
